Thousands of street signs across Cape Coral are straightened up - but there is still a long way to go when it comes to repairing what Hurricane Ian ruined.
In the two years since the storm, city crews have worked tirelessly to get signed fixed - especially along major roads.
An update from the city's Transportation Advisory Committee is expected on Wednesday to provide an update.
Cape Coral is hoping to have all the damaged signs fixed by the end of the year.
We know this year alone city crews restored more than 2,850 signs and posts on major roadways and straightened 1,600 others.
The city says they are halfway there when it comes to working other major road signs that aren't stop signs.
That work needs to be done in spots like Old Burnt Store Road, De Navarra Parkway, Trafalgar Pkwy and Gator Circle, just to name a few.
That's expected to be done by the end of December.
The Transportation Advisory Commission meets at 9 a.m. on Wednesday where they will discuss this timeline further.
