The Lee County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a social media post showed video of a man aggressively handling a dog.
LCSO says the animal cruelty task force is leading the investigation.
Detectives say they have located the man and dogs seen in the video. Once the video hit social media, LCSO says the man called them and has been cooperative.
The dogs involved have been medically evaluated and are in good health.
LCSO says they are working closely with Lee County Domestic Animal Services as this investigation continues.
The male has not been identified at this time.
“I will continue to seek justice for those that cannot protect themselves. I have a zero tolerance stance for animal cruelty and abuse. Any instances of abuse will be investigated immediately and thoroughly by our detectives," Sheriff Carmine Marceno said.
