A Lee County deputy told a man to turn his car off on Douglas Avenue near Gunnery Road in Lehigh Acres on Monday after he was caught speed racing.
Deputies said Deshon Gary didn't follow deputy commands and then tried to roll up his window, and that escalated to a fight between Gary and a deputy to get him in handcuffs.
"I would say I definitely see people driving way past the speed limit," said Arizona Jarman.
This all started back on Lee Boulevard where a deputy spotted Gary and another car going around 70 miles an hour.
"They deserve that ticket. The deputies are out here to keep us safe," said Belinda Moore
Gary was charged with street racing and resisting an officer.
