The Fort Myers Police Department responded to a call of a suspicious van at a bus stop in the area of Dynasty Drive and Cypress Legends Circle on Thursday.
Officers responded to the scene around 6:20 p.m. where the say they found a black van with light blue on the bottom of the doors.
The van is described as having damage to the front bumper and rear sliding doors. The van was reportedly occupied by two females and one male that spoke Spanish.
Fort Myers detectives gathered that the van had followed a male student from his bus stop around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Detectives say one of the passengers told the child to "get in the van" in Spanish.
The van was reportedly circling the area prior to and after the incident on Wednesday and Thursday.
The child immediately ran into an apartment complex and got help from a neighbor to call is mother, who then called police.
FMPD says they currently have detectives working to gather further information to include a possible photo of the suspected van.
Fort Myers police will have an increased patrol present in the area of the incident.
