A video catching the attention of parents in Lehigh Acres is making some people second guess how safely their kids get to school.
Lehigh Acres mom, Abigale Kelly, caught one driver running through stop signs near Lemuel Teal Middle School in a private school van twice.
She filmed drivers for both the Little Angels Transportation Company and another video showing Lisdie Montano’s company driving dangerously.
The driver with Lisdie Montano's company shows a van weaving through traffic and cutting through the median at Lehigh Acres Middle School.
NBC2 talked with one mom who stopped using Little Angels transportation for her son after she saw the videos.
"I was like, they put my son in danger. I was like, I can’t have that, you know?" Shani Stone said.
She also added when she told them why her son wasn't going to ride the bus anymore, she was abruptly hung up on.
NCB2 spoke to both transportation companies. The owner of Little Angels said she spoke to the driver in the video and said that they are now driving safely.
Lisdie Montano said all of their vans have cameras with live monitoring. They also told NBC2 that they had fired the driver who had gone over the median in the video.

Our traffic unit is constantly monitoring our roads, ensuring drivers are following traffic laws, and taking action when they don’t. We have increased presence in busy areas of the county, and are constantly monitoring areas where students frequent, including bus stops during pick up and drop off times. Our Traffic Unit is vigilant and always doing everything they can to keep our roadways and students safe."
Now, Abigale Kelly is taking matters into her own hands. She has already gotten the official documents she needs, and now she safely drives kids herself, including Shani Stone's son. She's also in the process of getting her license to drive a bus.
"It takes a community, it takes a village to raise a child. Do better, Lee County Sheriff's Office, do better, school district, do better, everyone. We could come together as a community, and we’re going to have to take up for what they’re dropping the bar on," Abigale Kelly said.
