A traffic stop in Hendry County led to the arrest of two people on several drug charges, including trafficking fentanyl.
According to the Hendry County Sheriff's Office, on Thursday evening, a deputy pulled over a vehicle with only one working headlight on State Road 82 in Felda. The deputy searched the vehicle due to a strong smell of marijuana emanating from inside.
The driver, Mikira Mungin, 32, and the passenger, Talbot Karsa Fuller, 35, were detained during the search.
The deputy found marijuana, fentanyl, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and a large amount of cash in the vehicle.
The Immokalee duo faces the following charges.
- Possession of marijuana over 20 grams
- Trafficking fentanyl
- Possession of a controlled substance without a prescription
- Possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Possession of drug paraphernalia use to transport fentanyl
Mungin was released from the Hendry County Jail on Friday. Fuller remains in jail on $90,000 bond.
