The Fort Myers City Council has come to has come to a decision on downtown parking.
Fort Myers city council members passed a motion to permanently make on-street parking downtown free after 5 p.m. on weekdays and on weekends.
According to the City of Fort Myers, this excludes parking garages and officials will regroup to decide when it will go into effect.
