A man was taken to the hospital Tuesday with serious burn injuries after his body caught fire in the parking lot of the Port Charlotte Town Center mall.
According to Charlotte County Fire and EMS, firefighters responded to the scene where a man was in cardiac arrest and had burns from head to toe.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office and state fire marshal are assisting at this time.
