An elderly man was found with injuries at his home in a San Carlos Park neighborhood Tuesday night.
According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a home along Olive Road to conduct a well-being check.
LCSO says the man was found with injuries and taken to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Deputies were still surrounding the home Wednesday morning.
NBC2 crews at the scene saw a blocked-off road as deputies lined the street.
The man who died was Ronald Howell, 85, according to a family member.
