Southwest Florida is a step closer to bringing a massive 140-acre development to Cape Coral, centered around our veterans.
Cape Coral City Council talked more about plans for Victory Park in a meeting on Wednesday evening.
Cape Coral planners can now focus on designs to get you in and out of the future development on Diplomat Parkway and NE 24th Avenue.
The area will see homes, stores, a hotel and a medical facility focused on veterans.
The Blue Waters Development Group shared designs of what the project could look like once it is complete.

Other features Victory Park will have include promoting walkability, biking and public transit options.
Developers have been applying for infrastructure permits since July.
The city was given more than $4 million in a grant from the Florida Department of Commerce to be reimbursed later to bring the needed infrastructure.
This includes roadways around the development, water and sewer, sidewalks, guardrails and more.
The city needs to give the state final designs and documents as per the grant agreement before construction can start, which has to begin no later than April 2025.
