One person has died after a crash along State Road 82 near Harcourt Avenue in Lehigh Acres.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the drivers of a red car and a white car were heading westbound on State Road 82 at high speeds.
Troopers said the driver of the red car approached other vehicles in front of them that were going slower.
Ultimately, three cars were involved in the crash and the red car went off the road. FHP troopers are still investigating the details of the crash.
There were four occupants in the red car.
According to FHP, one person is dead, and three people had to be taken to the hospital.
No other injuries have been reported at this time.
FHP said the white car drove off from the scene and troopers are searching for the driver.
