A Collier County man is wanted after failing to appear in court for jury selection on charges of sexual battery on a child in 2013.
Jean Leandre, 47, was initially arrested by Collier County detectives in 2013, after being accused of reportedly raping and impregnating an 11-year-old girl.
Leandre is also accused of having sexual relations with the girl more than 10 times since the age of 6.
After posting a $200,000 bond, Leandre was released from jail while he awaited trial.
On the second day of jury selection, Leandre reportedly disappeared.
Leandre is potentially facing a life sentence for two counts of sexual battery on a child.
