Authorities searching the Picayune Strand State Forest in Collier County found the body of Eduardo Ramirez, a 64-year-old veteran who was missing for 10 days.
Ramirez's body was located by the Collier County Sheriff's Office and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission on Saturday, just south of the 97-mile marker in the Picayune Strand State Forest.
The Collier County Sheriff's Office and multiple agencies began their search after Ramirez had been last seen driving near Collier Boulevard and Magnolia Pond Circle on Thursday, Aug. 27.
On Friday, investigators found the vehicle Ramirez was driving in a remote area off Beck Boulevard in East Naples, according CCSO.
CCSO said the death does not appear suspicious at this time, but they are continuing to investigate.
