The Hendry County Sheriff's Office is investigating an Instagram post threatening violence at LaBelle Middle School and LaBelle High School.
According to HCSO, citizens expressed their concerns and several tips have come through from the Fortify Florida Tip line regarding the threat.
Law enforcement and the Hendry County School District are aware of the threat and are investigating where the post came from, HCSO said.
On Friday, the sheriff's office investigated a threat posted on Instagram for "LMS" and determined the school was located in Georgia, not Florida. Some believed the school being mentioned was LaBelle Middle School.
