A 13-year-old Manatee Middle School student was arrested after a knife was found in his backpack.
According to the Collier County Sheriff's Office , the backpack was searched after another student told administrators the boy showed them the knife.
CCSO said school administrators found a fixed-blade knife in the suspect's backpack.
According to CCSO, the student did not threaten anyone with the knife.
The student was charged with possession of a weapon on school property.
