Another teen who was driving at high speeds along State Road 82 near Harcourt Avenue before a deadly crash was arrested Friday.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 17-year-old Lehigh Acres boy was arrested and identified as the driver of the vehicle that drove off from the scene of the crash.
The teen was booked into the Lee County Jail on the following charges:
- 1 count of reckless driving - serious injury
- 1 count of reckless driving - personal injury
- 2 counts of reckless driving - personal injury
- 1 count of leaving the scene of a crash with death
- 1 count of leaving the scene of a crash with serious injury
- 1 count of leaving the scene of a crash with property damage
His name has not been released at this time and he is still in the process of being booked in, according to FHP.
On Thursday, FHP troopers arrested another teen in connection to the crash, who was identified as 17-year-old Josue Rodriguez.
FHP said the crash remains under investigation.
