An Orlando man is still on the run after failing to appear in court in April 2023.
Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers says Marius Dumitru, 37, is on the run after he deposited thousands of dollars worth of checks from churches into his bank account.
He is accused of stealing from 24 different churches in Lee County.
Investigators discovered Dumitru was doing this throughout the state.
He was arrested for grand theft, fraud, money laundering and violation of the RICO Act.
He was given an ankle monitor until he went to trial but cut it off.
Crime Stoppers says Dumitru is 5'8", and 150 pounds.
When he is arrested he will be held without bond.
