Four people are dead and one is in critical condition after a crash along I-75 in Collier County early Saturday.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, around 6:22 a.m., an 18-year-old man driving a sedan was heading south on I-75 near mile marker 110 in the center lane.
The release states the driver attempted to change lanes and lost control before crashing into a tree.
FHP says the crash broke the car into two pieces.
The driver and two 19-year-old men were pronounced dead at the scene, according to FHP.
There were two more passengers in the car.
FHP says a 21-year-old woman was later pronounced dead, and a 16-year-old boy is still in critical condition.
FHP is investigating the crash.
