The Naples Police Department is investigating after two thieves entered an antique store in Naples and stole a $3,000 gold bracelet.
On Thursday afternoon, Wilton Wood said two men entered his store, Treasure Island Antiques Inc., and quickly set their sights on a $3,000 gold bracelet. Wood said they asked an employee to unlock the case. One of them distracted the employee, pretending he wanted to buy a watch, while the other reached into the case and stole the bracelet, putting it in his pocket.
Wood said, "He had a wad of cash in his left hand. He covered it up with his wad of cash and put it in his pocket."
Wood is hoping the community will identify the two men.
"They're pretty distinct people. One with a hernia potbelly and the other one with the goatee missing the teeth in the upper left quadrant," said Wood.
This isn’t the first time a thief has stolen from the Woods store. In June, a man carried an umbrella to hide his face, broke in and stole tens of thousands of dollars worth of jewelry.
Naples police said they are still tracking down that thief.
