A Fort Myers man accused of sexually assaulting a teen at knifepoint at Schandler Hall Park in Tice appeared in court on Monday.
Raymond De Jesus, 38, is accused of sexually assaulting a teen girl Thursday morning as she was walking to the bus stop.
Lee County deputies say De Jesus approached the girl, got off his bike and pulled her into a nearby playground where he assaulted her.
After the attack, the girl went home and told her mother what happened.
De Jesus was hiding in an attic when deputies came to arrest him. The standoff lasted nearly four hours before he was taken into custody.
The judge ultimately went with the state's recommendation to hold De Jesus without bond.
