Little Pine Island Bridge on Matlacha will close intermittently on Tuesday, September 17, during daytime hours.
According to the Florida DOT, the closures will allow crews to unload deliveries of concrete bridge piles from barges to the worksite.
These deliveries will start as early as 10 a.m. and will continue until all piles are unloaded.
Crews will clear traffic in between deliveries to lessen the impact on motorists traveling on and off the island.
Motorists are asked to use caution and reduce their speed while driving through the work zone.
