Lee County Sheriff's Office staff will receive a 7% salary increase beginning next month, according to Sheriff Carmine Marceno.
Lee County Commissioners approved the salary increase for LCSO employees Tuesday night.
According to an email obtained by NBC2 sent from Sheriff Carmine Marceno to staff on Wednesday, agency members will begin receiving increased salaries on October 1.
- Starting Civilian: $42,000
- Starting Deputy: $66,875
- Starting Sergeant: $91,000
- Starting Lieutenant: $107,000
- Starting Captain: $123,000
The email also states that the maximum salary for all positions has increased.
"As Lee County continues to grow rapidly, these new positions will enable us to provide the exceptional level of service our residents deserve and prepare us for the future."
