Pro Parks is preparing to construct a $3 million wave pool at Sunsplash Waterpark for you to enjoy.
But first, they want the security of an additional 10 years added to the buyout option. In exchange, they agree to invest an additional $2 million into the park.
On Wednesday, city leaders want you to weigh in.
Pro Parks is planning to invest an additional $2 million at Sunsplash, but they are hesitant to move forward with it because of their current agreement with the City of Cape Coral.
There is a buyout, or "cancellation for convenience," option that allows the city to terminate the lease in year 10 of the agreement if it chooses. Pro Parks wants this option moved to year 20.
They are even proposing to pay the city more for rent in years 11-20 and even more in years 21-30 to extend the option in the agreement.
The Cape Coral City Council meeting is scheduled for Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
