Charlotte County deputies are investigating a reported shooting that sent two people to the hospital in Charlotte County near the North Port, Sarasota County line Wednesday morning.
According to CCSO, the scene is on US-41 near Cornelius Boulevard and S Salford Blvd. Deputies say it is unknown whether the two were shot or stabbed.
Both directions of traffic on US-41 are closed as deputies investigate the area.
CCSO asks that everyone avoid the area as they work the scene.
