Collier County deputies arrested a man accused of racing at speeds near 100 miles per hour Wednesday morning.
Deputies say they were driving on Radio Road, near San Marcos Boulevard, when they observed two Dodge Chargers traveling side by side.
According to reports, both cars were attempting to race each other as deputies followed behind.
Deputies say both vehicles were approaching Davis Boulevard when they caught up to one car, which was driven by Benjamin Garcia Cisneros, 21, according to reports.
Deputies made a traffic stop on Cisneros on Rattlesnake Hammock Road and Augusta Boulevard as the other vehicle sped away.
When deputies asked Cisneros why he was racing another vehicle, he claimed he wasn't racing, per reports.
Deputies arrested Cisneros after investigations. According to documents, Cisneros is facing a traffic violation for racing on a highway.
