Two Miami men were arrested after being accused of stealing personal information and making fraudulent transactions on Wednesday.
Collier County deputies say they noticed a man, later identified as Terrance Swayne Kinchen, 32, that appeared to be in a hurry and was disheveled at PDQ on Airport Pulling Road around 11:20 a.m.
According to reports, Kinchen was walking around PDQ before getting in and out of his car. Kinchen walked to Wells Fargo Bank.
Deputies noticed the car was running with a passenger, later identified as Fritzner Forreau, 40, parked with the engine on. The car was a rental.
Deputies say they went to the Wells Fargo Parking lot and saw Kinchen walking back towards PDQ. Once the deputy got back in his car, he noticed the two men had driven away.
Deputies found the car on traffic cameras heading westbound on 13th Avenue N near the U.S. Post Office.
Shortly after, the car pulled out of the parking lot and left. At that time, several other unmarked deputy vehicles joined in the investigation.
After following the car for a short period of time, deputies saw Kinchen enter the Post Office on Collier Boulevard before they left.
The duo then drove to Circle K where deputies made a traffic stop due to their suspicious behavior.
Deputies searched the vehicle and locations where the two previously were. Deputies found stolen mail in the vehicle and trash cans at Circle K.
Investigations revealed that the duo used a stolen credit card to withdraw $1,000 from Wells Fargo.
After checking bank transactions, deputies say an $1,800 purchase was made at the post office. An additional fraudulent transfer of $7,000 was also made, according to reports.
Deputies say they found over 14 keys and key fobs in Forreau's bag. According to reports, one of the keys had "USPS do not duplicate" written on it.
Kinchen was arrested for driving on a suspended license, grand theft, fraudulent use of credit cards and fake IDs.
Forreau was arrested for being in possession of stolen mail and credit cards. According to documents, Forreau is a convicted felon out on inmate release status.
