A North Port man has been sentenced to 70 years in federal prison for producing and possessing child sexual abuse videos.
Raul Colon-Ocasio, 32, was also sentenced to a term of supervised released for life and ordered to register as a sex offender.
A federal jury found Colon-Ocasio guilty on June 5, 2024 .
According to court documents, between December 2021 and May 2022, Colon-Ocasio used two minors to produce numerous videos of sexual abuse.
In 2022, a parent of a victim reported her daughter missing to law enforcement in Charlotte County.
Law enforcement found communications on social media between Colon-Ocasio's and the minor during investigations.
In October 2022, an FBI task force officer took over the social media account of the victim and began communicating with Colon-Ocasio.
Colon-Ocasio thought he was meeting with the minor, but met with law enforcement on October 18.
Numerous videos that Colon-Ocasio produced were uncovered which portrayed another child engaging in sexually explicit conduct.
Colon-Ocasio was sentenced to 70 years in federal prison on Tuesday.
