As Helene heads for Florida, it is expected to roar to major hurricane status and many people with plans to visit Disney World are wondering how it will impact their trip.
As of Wednesday morning, the company said, "Walt Disney World Resort is currently operating under normal conditions. We are closely monitoring the path of the storm as we continue to prioritize the safety of our Guests and Cast Members."
The website urges folks to check the latest forecasts and come prepared.
As for those looking to cancel or reschedule packages or rooms booked through Disney, the company says a hurricane warning would be grounds for doing so without any cancellation or change fees.
However, they note: "If you have products and services provided by third-party suppliers included in your vacation—such as air transportation, hotels, car rental agencies or travel insurance companies—you will continue to be responsible for any non-refundable payments, as well as cancellation or change fees assessed by those suppliers. The policy does not apply to certain special events or dining experiences."
