The Fort Myers Police Department rescued a stranded family on First Street as storm surges moved into the areas along the river.
DMPD says they deployed their emergency response vehicle to save the family on First St.
Everyone was safely transported.
FMPD says they are continuing to respond to similar calls and highly encourage residents to stay home and off of roadways.
