After closing on Thursday for Hurricane Helene, both Lee and Collier County schools announced that all public schools would resume normal operations on Friday.
The Lee County School District said during their initial assessment, they found no significant damage to any site. Should any campuses be found to have damage, parents will be alerted to any changes.
Collier County Public Schools said, "As students return to school, we understand that every family has unique circumstances and concerns. If you feel it is in the best interest of your child(ren) to keep them home, we fully respect your decision. We kindly ask that you communicate with your child(ren)’s school to validate their absence."
