A 69-year-old man is dead after crashing into a canal in Naples on Saturday night.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, around 8 p.m., the man was speeding while driving a sedan along a dead-end 12th Avenue NE.
FHP says the car was launched into the canal and submerged.
The report states the driver sustained critical injuries and was taken to the hospital.
He was later pronounced dead.
