Crews will be cleaning sand and debris from the underground drainage pipes along and near the Sanibel Causeway on Monday.
According to the Florida Department of Transportation, this work requires crews to work in the travel lanes at Punta Rassa Road and McGregor Boulevard.
This afternoon, drivers should expect a flagging operation at the intersection of Punta Rassa Road and McGregor Boulevard.
Off-island traffic will be stopped intermittently to allow vehicles from Punta Rassa to turn onto eastbound McGregor Boulevard.
This work is expected to be completed by 5 p.m. this afternoon.
