A woman is dead after a crash involving a wrong-way driver Sunday night.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 56-year-old woman died after being hit head-on near the Luckett Road exit around 9 p.m.
The report states an 86-year-old Cape Coral man was driving south in the northbound lanes of I-75.
FHP says the woman was taken to the hospital with critical injuries where she was later pronounced dead.
The Cape Coral man sustained minor injuries.
FHP states this crash remains under investigation.
