San Carlos Park Fire District was dispatched to a gas leak in the area of Spotted Fawn Ct. in the Forest community just after 9 a.m. Friday.
Crews arrived to find a leaking 1,000 gallon propane tank, which was energized by underground power, the fire district said.
For the safety of the surrounding community, the power grid was shut down in the area.
FPL is on-scene working to isolate the power outage to the immediate area of the incident and restore power to those affected.
No injuries were reported, and the fire district said there is no immediate danger to the community.
