NAPLES, Fla. — A man was arrested after officers found him asleep inside a construction site on July 14.
Officers responded to a call stating that an intoxicated man was found inside a condominium unit under construction.
When the Naples Police Department arrived at the Oyster Bay Neighborhood, they found the man kneeling in the corner of a room.
When Jones heard the paramedics approaching, he woke up and attempted to flee through the wooden wall studs into the next unit. His attempt was cut short when officers were able to apprehend him.
The man told Officers that the day prior, he met a guy at Home Depot who had hired him to come to the unit and do trim work. However, the Superintendent of the job site told officers he did not hire anyone to do trim work.
Due to the man's intoxicated slumber, Officers were able to stop him before any theft or damages occurred since he has a long history of pawning jewelry and power tools.
He was booked into the Naples Jail Center for Felony Trespassing on a Construction Site.
According to reports, Jones was supposed to appear at the job site but was mistaken by which unit to meet at.
