Evacuations are underway at Fawcett Hospital in Port Charlotte as Hurricane Milton continues to move across the Gulf of Mexico.
NBC2 crews on the scene say they see staff outside and a line of ambulance trucks is seen loading up patients out front.
Fawcett Hospital says they still do not have everyone out, but will have patients transferred out to other Florida hospitals.
This happened just a little over two years ago as well when Hurricane Ian made its way to Florida.
This is all to protect patients from Hurricane Milton.
Family of patients have already reached out to NBC2 saying they have been notified.
