A 7-year-old girl was struck and killed by a Chevrolet Silverado along Gazelle Drive in North Fort Myers.
The crash happened around 12:26 p.m. on Thursday.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the girl was on a side road and entered the path of the approaching truck.
She was taken to Gulf Coast Medical Center with critical injuries. The girl was later pronounced dead.
FHP troopers said the crash remains under investigation.
