A family said they were inside when a huge tree fell on their home along SE 19th AveNUE in Cape Coral during Hurricane Milton.
“I just saw the entire tree laying on the house and I just was in shock, just like, oh my gosh, you wouldn't think the whole tree is going to come over,” said Ian Jans.
Ian and Bernhard Jans live in the home. Bernhard said he was sleeping when he heard the crash and then Ian's girlfriend calling for help.
“It sounded like glass blowing up, an explosion and I ran in there and his girlfriend was screaming underneath all the rubble,” said Bernhard.
Even though they have a lot of damage to fix, they said the most important thing is that everyone is OK.
