With 50 days left in the Atlantic hurricane season, the Atlantic basin remains active but there are no threats to the U.S. at this time. Tropical Storm Leslie will curve northeast away from the U.S. in the coming days and is expected to lose its tropical characteristics by the end of the weekend.
We are also closely monitoring disorganized showers and storms off the west coast of Africa with a medium chance for development. The disturbance is tracking west at 10-15 mph and a tropical depression or storm may form over the next week. The next name on the list is Nadine.
Milton has transition to a post-tropical cyclone and will dissapate in the coming days as it pulls farther away from the U.S. over the Atlantic. Count on the NBC 2 Hurricane Tracking Team to keep you informed.
