Three people were arrested after multiple women were carjacked at gunpoint on Sunday in Fort Myers.
According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, a woman and her daughter were at the Racetrac gas station at 13501 N Cleveland Avenue.
The report states after buying something inside, the two were walking back to the car when O’Marion Florence, 20, held them at gunpoint demanding the keys to the car.
LCSO said Florence took the car and drove southbound onto US 41.
Another woman was also carjacked at gunpoint in a Publix parking lot Sunday.
According to the Fort Myers Police Department, a female employee had her car stolen at 2160 McGregor Ave.
Officers spotted her silver Nissan Rogue along Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard driving near a dark SUV.
FMPD said they tried to conduct a traffic stop, but the driver kept going.
The driver eventually lost control near Ortiz Avenue. FMPD said the driver was immediately detained.
Officers pursued the SUV, which also lost control and crashed at Michigan Avenue.
The driver and passenger tried to run, but they were caught.
The SUV was found to be stolen on Saturday.
