A gas leak from a 500-gallon underground tank shut down traffic along Hickory Boulevard on Bonita Beach.
According to the Bonita Springs Fire Department, Hickory Boulevard at Platt Road was closed, however, the road is back open.
Fire crews have been working to mitigate the remaining 365 gallons of gas. Bonita Springs Fire Chief Greg DeWitt said South Florida Gas is on the scene.
They will burn it off for a few hours.
Bonita Springs fire officials have not mentioned how the leak started.
