Hendry County deputies said two people were arrested in connection to the death of 16-year-old Ja'Yhanna Johnson.
The sheriff's office said calls came in saying that gunshots were fired into Harlem Gardens along Harlem Tenants Circle on Friday. Johnson went to a party and was hit by a stray bullet, according to the Hendry County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said Johnson was found unresponsive when they arrived.
The sheriff's office will hold a press conference about the investigation on Wednesday, Oct. 16. They have not released the identities of the two people arrested.
