Cape Coral police officers and SWAT swarmed a home along SW 8th Court, blocking off the street.
The Cape Coral Police Department said officers responded to the home near the 3800 block of SW 8th Court in Cape Coral around noon.
Police arrested Caleb James Carson, 36, for multiple felony domestic battery charges after an hours-long standoff with CCPD officers and SWAT.
According to CCPD, Carson barricaded himself in the attic and no one else was in the home. The Cape Coral SWAT team was able to get Carson out of the attic and place him in custody around 6 p.m.
Carson was taken to Lee County Jail and is facing the following charges:
- Domestic violence battery by strangulation
- Resisting without violence
