The Collier County Sheriff's Office arrested a Naples man accused of leading deputies on chase with his motorcycle at max speeds of 150 mph.
Deputies say they were conducting a traffic stop on Tuesday around 10:04 p.m. when they saw a man, later identified as James Swingle, 36, driving a motorcycle on Santa Barbara Boulevard.
Reports say the motorcycle matched the description of another one involved in an earlier pursuit.
Deputies made a U-turn and got behind Swingle in an attempt to run his tag. Swingle reportedly failed to come to a complete stop while making a U-turn on Prince Andrew Boulevard.
Deputies then attempted to pull Swingle over before they say he turned right onto Santa Barbara Blvd and sped off.
According to reports, deputies clocked Swingle at speeds of approximately 120 mph in a 45 mph zone. Swingle then turned right onto Radio Road where deputies say he sped away again, this time reaching speeds of approximately 150 mph.
Due to the dangerous speeds and the vehicle being a motorcycle, CCSO's Air Unit took over to allow ground units to follow Swingle at a safer pace.
Swingle was seen turning east on Golden Gate Parkway over the I-75 overpass before making a U-turn and turning left on 66th Street SW.
Deputies knew the road was a dead end which led them to flooding the area where Swingle was later taken into custody after attempting to evade deputies again.
Swingle was arrested and is facing fleeing and eluding charges, as well as multiple traffic violations, per reports.
