The Collier County Sheriff's Office arrested an Immokalee man accused of stealing a wallet and firing his gun into the air while running away.
Reports state CCSO deputies responded to Liberty Way around 11:46 p.m. on Tuesday for reports of a theft.
The caller told deputies that the suspect, later identified as Mark Brewer, 25, had stolen his wife's wallet before running away. The caller said he ran after the suspect before Brewer allegedly pulled out a gun and fired two shots into the air.
Deputies say once they arrived they saw Brewer on Lake Trafford Road. Reports state that due to the caller stating Brewer had a gun, deputies detained him at gunpoint.
Deputies searched Brewer in search of the gun. While searching him, deputies say they found a Michael Kors wallet, along with two other wallets.
According to reports, approximately 15 feet away from where Brewer was stopped, deputies say they found a pistol laying in the grass. Deputies say as the weapon was being cleared, a used bullet casing fell out of the chamber.
Brewer was arrested and is facing charges of armed burglary and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
