In a week where playoff spots and district titles were on the line, two of the area's top ten teams went head to head in this week ten 5A District 11 matchup. Riverdale was coming off its first loss of the season, falling to Cape Coral in week nine, while North Fort Myers was rolling on a five-game winning streak. Another win for the Red Knights would clinch a playoff spot and win the district title.
North got out to a quick lead, Kirtis Denham capping off the Knights' first drive with a touchdown just 90 seconds into the game. They would add to it as the clock was winding down in the quarter to get out to a 12-0 lead.
Riverdale was slow to get cooking, but was able to get a touchdown on the board in the second quarter and avoid heading into the break scoreless. In the second half, the Raiders flipped the switch and turned up the heat, outscoring the Red Knights 26-10. Ultimately, Riverdale got back in the win column and snapped North's streak.
