At least one person was killed in a shooting near Colonial Boulevard and Ortiz Avenue in Fort Myers Sunday night.
According to Fort Myers Police, there was a hit-and-run crash near the intersection, which was later confirmed to be a deadly shooting.
As of 8:30 p.m., two westbound lanes of Colonial Blvd. near the intersection of Ortiz Ave. are closed while police investigate the scene.
FMPD has not released any further details about the incident but said the scene is active, and confirmed that no one is in custody.
