One person is dead after a shooting that Fort Myers police say stemmed from a hit-and-run crash along Colonial Boulevard and Ortiz Avenue.
The incident happened around 8:30 p.m. on Sunday.
On Monday, police say they need the public's help finding the suspect who pulled the trigger.
Investigations caused traffic backups along Colonial Blvd and Ortiz Ave as two westbound lanes were blocked off.
NBC2 crews were on the scene and saw investigators looking at a gray Sentra sedan on the side of the road.
All lanes are open, and traffic is flowing, but the investigation is still ongoing.
