The Collier County Sheriff's Office arrested a man after one person was stabbed at El Cubano Restaurant on Saturday evening.
Deputies responded to 205 W Main Street around 9:30 p.m. for reports of a stabbing.
Upon arrival, deputies say they found a bouncer, identified as Jaheim Carter, for the restaurant with stab wounds to his stomach before taking him to the hospital as a trauma alert.
The suspect, identified as Sergio Martinez, 50, from Guatemala, was taken into custody, according to CCSO.
Reports say Martinez refused to give responding deputies his name and identifying information.
Deputies spoke with a witness who said he saw Martinez arguing with Carter at the front entrance of the restaurant. The witness said Carter was blocking Martinez from entering the building. Martinez then reportedly pulled out a pocket knife and stabbed Carter in the stomach.
According to arrest report, Carter noticed that he was stabbed before punching Martinez in the head, knocking him unconscious.
Another witness, identified as Simon Condi, says he and others were able to grab Martinez and hold him until deputies arrived.
Martinez was taken to the NCH North hospital to be treated for his injuries before being taken to the Naples Jail Center.
Deputies say Carter is in stable condition and he had no life threatening injuries.
Martinez if facing charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and obstruction of an officer, per documents. Martinez is also listed as being homeless.
