Fort Myers police have found the SUV in connection to a homicide at the scene of a hit-and-run crash that happened Sunday night.
According to the Fort Myers Police Department, the incident happened around 9:50 p.m. along Colonial Boulevard and Ortiz Avenue.
It's still unclear how the hit-and-run crash and death are connected.
A suspect is still on the loose.
Detectives found the 2004 Saturn SUV with a Florida tag, numbered CE50MX in Lehigh Acres at 6:50 p.m.

One person was killed and investigations caused traffic backups along Colonial Blvd and Ortiz Ave as two westbound lanes were blocked off.
NBC2 crews were on the scene and saw investigators looking at a gray Sentra sedan on the side of the road.
